Introduction

The Trustees of the Charity recognise the importance of protecting the privacy of all details of individuals it has dealings with.  The Charity aims to be fully compliant with the Data Protection Act (2018) which compliments GDPR regulations (General Data Protection Regulation).

Detail

1.         The Charity will only collect personal information that is necessary for fulfilling our function of operating a cemetery.

2.         The Charity will be open and transparent in the way it collects information.

3.         The Charity will take all reasonable steps to ensure that any personal information it holds is accurate and complete and is held securely.

4.         The Charity will destroy any personal information it holds that is no longer relevant to its function as a cemetery.

5.         The Charity will only pass on personal information it holds if legally required to do so.

6.         If individuals request access to any personal information the Charity might hold about them, or if they wish this information to be disclosed to a third party, then this will only be granted if the individual applies in writing.
